The Rev. R. Ellen White was called as Priest-in-Charge in the fall of 2010. She is a graduate from Berea College and the Post-Graduate Anglican Studies program at Virginia Theological Seminary. A canonical member of the Diocese of Virginia, Ellen has served parishes in the Northern Neck and Arlington, Virginia, as well as the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Prior to entering the ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church, Ellen was sixteen years an ordained clergy in the United Methodist Church.

Ellen is a graduate of the Academy for Spiritual Formation (2-year program in Christian spirituality). She has special interests in Benedictine and Ignatius contemplative forms of Christian spiritual practices, with emphasis on art, music and writing. Ellen enjoys gardening, cooking and entertaining, the pleasures of nature and God's good creation, and time with friends and family.
