STEWARDSHIP
Stewardship, which has been called the most important work of the church, is at the heart of the Christian faith. How we manage the gifts we have received is a chief concern of stewardship. Through the love of God we see life as blessed with an abundance of grace. Sharing from this abundance in a spirit of thanksgiving and compassion is faithful stewardship.
Faithful stewardship leads us to discover a spirit of gratitude and generosity, which frees us from self-absorption and disregard for others. And it challenges us to see the world as a gift of God that is under our care. The call to be a faithful steward is a call to wholeness and an invitation to open our lives and resources to the generous and compassionate love of God. In the St. Anne's Episcopal Parish we seek to celebrate the ministry of stewardship throughout the year by: Honoring God's Good Earth, Recognition of time and talents, Discernment of Spiritual Gifts, Pledge commitment, Planned Giving
Remember always that stewardship is what we do with all we have all the time.
The Book of Common Prayer, p.827
